Daily Routine and House Rules

Each home will have its own daily routine, for both staff and children. House rules will be posted in the staff office, in the Children's Guide and on children's notice boards. House rules will be revised regularly in consultation with the children and staff team.

Children and young people will be informed of the home's rules in the young people's guide, statement of purpose. These will be further reviewed in keyworker sessions, young people's meetings, handover and staff meetings. House rules and routines will take into account their care plans and individual needs. The impact risk assessment and the change in dynamics of the young people living in the home, this will also be considered when reviewing homes rules and routines.

House rules should be subject to continuous review and respond to the dynamics of the home.
